  • Five years Rotary – received an Individual Grant from the Rotary Foundation and spent two weeks in South African townships entertaining children as a guest of Rotary Club of Kirstenbosch, Cape Town and now organises books to be collected and sent to Cape Town

  • Human Resources Officer with a not-for-profit organisation
  • Interested in all aspects of Human Resources e.g. Training and development
  • Member of Chartered Management Institute
  • Has been involved as member of Rotaract
  • Does charity work, leading a program called “Ashtead Learning Difficulties Action Group” which involves young people with learning difficulties
  • Involved with Radio Lollipop within Children Hospital
  • Hobbies include charity walks and keeping healthy

Helen Murphy

 

  • Works for Skills for Care which supports employers in improving Social Care Standards (mainly Adult Social Care)
  • Projects are mainly funded by Department of Health with a broad range of community issues focussing on health and wellbeing
  • Interested in talking to like minded people and organisations to discuss mutual issues on community health and care
  • Other interests include art, drawing and playing the guitar

Jackie Robinson

 

  • Works as a community nurse for the National Health Service on the Intensive Support Scheme
  • Also trained and very interested in Complementary Therapist in Cancer Care
  • Very interested in looking at what is happening in our district with Cancer Care

  • Works for Derby Shire Council as an Emergency Planning Officer
  • Works closely with other emergency response organisations such as Police, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance and other voluntary organisations to produce multi-agency plans to enable an effective joint response to emergency incidents
