Rotary Membership Month is

AUGUST

Membership is vital for the continuing existence of the Rotary Organisation.

Without membership growth we slowly fade away.

We only have to look at some of our own clubs that have handed back their charter over the past years and to see what has happened to other  voluntary groups such as---Apex, Junior Chamber of Commerce, many Lions Clubs. Indeed, some of our own programs are struggling to exist in many Districts such as  Interact and  Rotoract .

Membership also is a way of continuing the Rotary Foundation, the financial arm that allows Rotarians to carry out their aid to third world countries and also assist those in times of national disasters.

Each and every one of us must endeavour to at least bring one  new member into the organization each year, it is not a big task nor one that is diffucult to achieve Just look around at your work mates, the business groups that you have contact with, the sporting clubs, your friends and social contacts, even your local stores that you frequent…. The list is really endless.

So, make a new Rotary year resolution..
