DGs Greg Baileys friend “Neville” had to be restrained in Emerald today. “Neville” apparently enjoyed too much hospitality at Emerald Sunrises BBQ at Camp Fairbairn and ended up behind bars. Both Neville and his wife were allowed visits from their children. See the photos --- before Sixty Minutes gets onto the story
“Police have advised the residents of Moranbah to lock up their garden gnomes as they continue the search for missing gnomelet, Nobby Bailey, who disappeared under suspicious circumstances while in the company of his parents and brothers and many Rotarians at the Rotary Clubhouse last Wednesday night. A Police spokesman advised that gnome nappings had occurred frequently in the past, and coincidentally, Nobby’s father, Neville Bailey, had himself been the victim of several past nappings. A crime scene has been established at the Rotary headquarters, and Police advise that they hold grave fears for Nobby’s safety. No ransom demand has been received at this time. President of the Rotary Club of Moranbah, Wayne Goulevitch emphasised that there were no gnome-aphiles in his club and he was sure that the Police enquiry would clear his members of any involvement. Nobby’s parents, Neville and Nora were too upset to be interviewed.” |
